Supply List

These are the exact supplies that Luthien uses in the class, though we encourage you to use whatever supplies you already have and love, and substitute where possible.

• Flat hammer
• Bench block
• Flat nose pliers
• Round nose pliers
• Wire cutter
• Large sturdy Stationery scissors
• Metal file
• Awl (or metal with a pointy end – icepick, nail)
• Wet Dry Sandpaper 800-1000grit
• Fire (either fire stove or a strong butane torch)
• 1pc Copper sheet 24gauge @6x4inches or 15x10cm
• 2ft *Brass or Copper round wire 16 gauge
• Metal chain of your choice (for necklace)
• A variety of steampunk objects – gears, keys, wings, metal hardware, unique jewelry stampings or filigrees, old maps, old letters, dictionary excerpts, beads and baubles, lace, etc.
• Spray adhesive
• 2-part Resin – eg. Epoxy Resin, ICE Resin, Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast, etc.
• Liver of Sulfur – preferably in gel form (or any patina medium for copper and brass)
• Glossy Accents by Ranger
• Graph paper (optional)
• Soda Bikarbonate (optional)
• Spray Sealer (optional)
• Acryllic paint in any color of your choice & small paint brush (optional)

*Brass – for brass wires choose NuGold Brass or Red Brass as this composition of brass patinas to a richer colour
